Making Things Happen in April
I have been working seriously on my thesis for my master's degree these past few weeks. Compared to what I was previously, I'm much more serious and focused now. Hahaha. This is long overdue, and it's time to finish what I started. The sooner this is over, the sooner I can concentrate on other things.
Of course, there are always new insights. I listed them below.
It's an Uphill battle
1.) Working full-time and part-time while completing my thesis is the most challenging part. It is a product of my life decisions that I do not regret at all. I make it through by eating delicious food, haha. I'm eating food that gives me joy. Whenever I feel accomplished, I reward myself with desserts that I love. Yep, I'm a kid at heart.
2.) I'm Maha
There's no clear explanation of where my confidence comes from—born this way. Hahaha.
Whenever I felt like giving up or crying myself to sleep, I would remind myself that I'm Maha. It sounds weird, right? LOL HAHAHA. Because of my crazy nature, this method works for me. My confidence in myself keeps me moving forward because I know what I am capable of. If I need assistance, I still ask for help. Also, praying is the most effective, always!
3.) Starbucks, thank you!
Starbucks is where I usually spend most of my time working on my thesis. Having the crowd around me makes me feel good, and it makes me feel like I am not the only one striving. MCU's street food is also my favorite, hahaha (I won't tell my mom, though).
4.) It's okay to cry
I release my emotions when I need to cry or break down during this process. Hirap kaya! Special thanks goes out to Twitter. Hahaha!
5.) Keeping things organized
If what I see isn't up to my standards, or the quality feels low, if I sense like something needs to be improved, Even if it's making me slow, I will try to fix it the best way I can. The clearer my mind is about these things, the faster I can move forward.
6.) It's this season!
My final defense will take place during this season! I'm claiming it! My plan is to be prepared for the worst-case scenarios and things that might go wrong. The preparations are underway, and I will be ready in no time! :)
