Faith in God
There are always ups and downs, peaks, and valleys. There are experiences that we would say that "today is a horrible day," and there's no other way to fix it; we lose hope, we give up, BUT there are also times that those problems and fears have been realized, and we are back on the right track. This blog post is entirely based on my perspective. Indeed, there's always a bad day; not all the days are on cloud nine, but how can we maintain happiness even in bad times? The simple answer is having Faith in God. I deemed that it's crucial that we are still happy and contented despite the world's happenings.
I was born in a Christian family; I grew up following my parents' since I believe back then that's the right thing to do, not because I have faith. I don't have these amazing testimonies or experiences that changed my life. All I know is that having faith in God + prayers gives me joy, and it satisfies my soul.
According to Pascal, "There is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of each man which cannot be satisfied by any created thing, but only by God the Creator made know through Jesus Christ." I think he's implying that there's a hole in our hearts, or I can say emptiness, and only God can fill that emptiness and can satisfy that longing through Jesus Christ, His Son.
When I first heard this, it becomes my favorite explanation of why we need God in our lives. I agree with Pascal because I felt it. What's the proof? The proof is me and what I'm feeling. I agree that that hole in my heart is meant for God to fill the void. If I did not let God fill that void, I would feel hopeless, sad, frustrated, upset, or discouraged. It doesn't mean that I will no longer feel these emotions because I have faith in Him; what I meant is that there are only temporary. From my experiences, sometimes, it only lasts for a few seconds or a few days. How is this possible? The simple answer is because I have faith in Him. I have faith in God.
Up until now, whenever I felt that life is drifting me apart. I would pray, putting my faith in Him, believing nothing is impossible, and He can even move mountains if he wanted to. I no longer worry because he already knows my needs, my future needs. I know I'll be fine. I can proudly say that having Faith in God makes me feel good, happy, grateful, and satisfied. I pray and hope that you can experience this too!
