My favorite anime character forever is Maple from the anime series BOFURI: I Don't Want To Get Hurt, so I'll Max out My Defense. There won't be any spoilers on this topic, and if you are curious about Maple, please continue reading.
This anime series is about a girl who joins a very popular VRMMO game even though she's still a novice and lacks of gaming experience. As a beginner, she's only doing cute and weird things to survive but somewhow along the way she becomes untouchable and insanely powerful where no one can bring her down.
1. Maple Is Not Afraid To Take Risks
Maple's acquired skills are so random and unpredictable. She's just doing what she wants the way she wants, which makes her so adorable. I can't stop laughing at the weirdest things she does only to survive the game and keep her progress. But then, after only a few days of playing the game, she became third place in a server-wide event.
2. Maple Loves Challenges
Maple is crazy curious, air-headed in a funny way. Despite her weaknesses, she loves to challenge herself by gaining more control. Exploring the game is amusing for her, so she keeps competing in boss battles to gain more experience and take training to a higher level.
3. Maple Doesn't Want To Get Hurt
Maple distributed all of her stat points into vitality, not because she's crazy, but because she does not like to feel pain; she doesn't want to get hurt. There might be a downside where she can't move quickly or hit hard, but her defense is untouchable. This is my favorite quality of Maple because, in reality, who wanted to get hurt? We'll do everything we can to protect ourselves from pain just like Maple; it's inescapable, but minimizing the pain will somehow keep us going.
If you are looking for a wholesome anime who wants to keep you entertained, then this anime is for you :)
