My Top 5 Favorite Scenes from The Promised Neverland - Episode 1
I chose to list my top 5 favorite scenes only from the first episode. Why? The Promised Neverland clutches you from the first episode and doesn't let go. I always ask my friends to watch the first episode but end up watching the whole season. Haha!
If you enjoy watching Anime, then I supposed you've seen The Promised Neverland. If not, close this review and go watch the first episode before coming back. This will contain significant spoilers for the first episode.
When I started watching The Promised Neverland, I don't have the slightest idea what it is about; I did not check the trailer or read the synopsis.
I've already finished the whole season, and while waiting for season 2 (I can't wait!!!), I chose to list my top 5 favorite scenes only from the first episode. Why? The Promised Neverland clutches you from the first episode and doesn't let go. I always ask my friends to watch the first episode but end up watching the whole season. Haha!
Let's set the mood first. Shall we? Below is the opening of The Promise Neverland.

Without further ado, let's get started!
- Introducing the Major Characters
Emma
Always wearing that massive smile on her face, Emma made me smile instantly.
Norman
Norman looks calm and smart at first sight.
Ray
Ray looks like L in Death Note! I guessed he would have a unique role in this series.
Mama
Mama Isabella projects the image of a kind and motherly figure. (lol)
2. Number tattooed on their necks
When I saw the numbering on their necks, my curiosity started that something is off about the orphanage. (I never research about the numbering, I'm not too fond of spoilers.)
3. When Emma and Norman found out about Conny
The scariest scene for me, this is too hard to swallow. I can feel the tension, fear, and pain when they figured out what happened to Conny—revealing the real purpose of the orphanage and how they're being raised to be fed to monsters.
4. Emma and Norman decided to run away with the kids
Norman assures Emma that they can survive, but the big question is HOW? Right after this scene, I've figured that this anime will be added to my weekly watchlist.
5. Mama found Conny's BUNNY!
"Mama is spine-chilling," the first thing that comes to my mind.
This scene is a great way to end the first episode; I'm a bit nervous about losing context on the next events, but after this scene, I crave for more.
The first episode exceeded my expectations; it's a must-watch for anime fans of thriller and horror. Let me know your favorite scenes as well!
